Depilite, an intense pulse light source is the new generation of hair removal systems - a step beyond lasers. A range of skin types and hair colours can be treated.

Depilite offers quick, effective, long term hair removal with minimal discomfort and works by an intense pulse light penetrating and destroying the hair root without causing damage to the skin. The light is quickly passed over the treated area treating many hairs with one pulse. It is possible to treat large areas in one session.

Depilite only destroys hairs when they in the growth phase. At any one moment 20% of hairs are resting or dormant. Repeated sessions will treat those hairs when they re-enter the growth phase. Generally, all areas will need 8 treatments, but as this depends on a number of factors, individual needs will be discussed at the consultation. Other treatments with this process include:

Skin Rejuvenation using Intense Pulse Light/Laser

Intense Pulse light systems release precisely controlled short pulses of filtered light that stimulates the fibroblast cells within the skin that produces collagen and elastin. This improves the radiance and tightness of the skin, controlling enlarged pores and giving a more uniform complexion.

The skin is cleansed, and then a mild skin peel is applied to remove the top layers of dead skin, leaving the skin feeling smoother and refreshed. The light applicator is then placed onto the skin and a short pulse of light released to stimulate the production of collagen and elastin. This is followed by a mask to hydrate the skin.
